Finishing the plumbing, all electric and foam insulation
We now finished up the plumbing throughout the house and I started on the wiring. The one weakness of this house build is the electrical outlets. Putting them on the metal studs was very unstable as they could twist very easily. I think putting a piece of 2x4 or adding something to stabilize them would help. After the foam installation was sprayed, the electrical outlets moved or twisted. This took a lot of work to fix.
I completed all of the wiring, except to the actual breaker box. We had no power to the house from the meter yet.
We hired a contractor for the foam install. They sprayed 3 inches on the wall and 5 inches into the ceiling. At this stage we found out the foam insulation would move around when attached to the thermal break we installed. We ended up cutting all of it down and sprayed the foam right to the metal exterior panels and roof. The downside of this will be is if we ever have to remove a wall or roof panel, the foam will have to be cut away.
